WILLOUGHBY BOUTIQUE MIXED USE
In the late 1800’s Willoughby was a brick making hub with a variety of manufacturers being located in the area.
The existing rich tapestry of crafted brick buildings, many of them heritage listed, also pay homage to this era.
The Bowery continues the rich history of considered and well crafted brick buildings in Willoughby.
In doing so the Bowery addresses a gateway urban corner announcing the commencement of the retail & commercial precinct along Willoughby road.
The Bowery consists of 17 apartments, commercial spaces and two basement carparks.
The Bowery uses brick loggias on the lower levels and a fine colonnade on the upper levels. The Loggias provide privacy from the busy street and creates a sense of extension of space for apartments. The colonnade facilitates distant views appreciated from upper levels
Gardens, substantial balconies and a continuation of indoor / outdoor spaces from each apartment provide the delight in inhabiting the spaces.
AJH+ has been involved from commencement of the project with urban, architectural and interior design services.
